ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

Operational

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service or assistance.
• Follow all health and civil code regulations.
• Manage cash drawer contents at the start and end of shifts.
• Ensure cashier accountability for over/shorts.
• Scan or record customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Recognize and differentiate produce merchandise, including varieties of similar products.
• Assist customers with bulk products.
• Collect payments and give accurate change per company policies.
• Process various sales transactions, including Accounts Receivable, EFT, WIC, Food Stamps, coupons, and gift certificates, in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Package merchandise according to policies.
• Handle damaged or spoiled products and return-to-stocks (
