Overview

Cashiers are to greet and thank every customer who enters and leaves the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Cashiers are also responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Be knowledgeable of CBC policies and cashiering transactions: cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, exchanges
• Enter all sales and monies accurately at the point of sale
• Assist with stocking and store organization
• Promote add-on purchases and store specials
• Report to work promptly, groomed appropriately, and dressed suitably
• Remain security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store details
• Stay updated on sale promotions and inventory
• Practice inventory control, especially for boots
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to achieve company goals

Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic comprehension and interpretation of instructions and documents
