Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Responsibilities include keeping the store neat and clean, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Responsibilities

• Support the company's culture and values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Understand and follow CBC policies and procedures
• Handle all cashier transactions including cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges
• Enter all sales and cash accurately at the time of transaction
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote add-on sales and store specials
• Arrive promptly, groomed, and dressed appropriately
• Maintain security awareness at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information
• Stay updated on current promotions and inventory
• Practice inventory control for boots and check for mismates
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals
