Job Summary
Maintain Hansen's IGA “hometown proud” image by providing excellent customer service while accurately completing transactions on a register and bagging customers' groceries correctly. Responsible for service counter functions such as lottery, cigarettes, and movies. Responsible for stocking and cleaning.

Supervision
Reports directly to shift manager, assistant manager, or store manager.

Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Able to lift 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally
- Positive, friendly, and team-oriented
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Stand for the duration of a shift

Essential Job Functions
- Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous, and greeting customers
- Help customers find merchandise and answer questions
- Accurately total merchandise at checkout and complete transactions using a cash register
- Follow procedures regarding the sale of alcohol and cigarettes
- Handle grocery items properly and use correct bagging methods
- Handle customer concerns and complaints
- Complete additional duties as assigned
- Use proper phone etiquette when using the intercom and answering calls
- Stock and face shelves as needed
- Clean counter and register area (sweep, dust, clean belts/lane, etc.)
