Job summary

Envision, Inc. is seeking a reliable store associate to stock shelves, operate the cash register, and deliver friendly customer service at an Envision Base Store on a military installation in Washington.

You will help customers find merchandise, process purchases, maintain store cleanliness, assist with packing and transporting items, and support inventory and merchandising efforts. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior retail or computer experience preferred.

• Knowledge of customer service principles and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Ability to project a professional image to the public.
• Must possess organizational and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer customers’ questions about merchandise and assist with selection.
• Operate a cash register; total purchases and accept cash or card payments.
• Safeguard store assets, inventory, and cash.
• Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
• Assist customers with transporting large purchases to their vehicles.
• Maintain the store and warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
• Stock shelves and perform inventory checks.
• Label products and set up merchandising to enhance presentation and sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for stocking, cash register operation and customer service at an Envision Base Store located on military bases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Answer customers’ questions about merchandise and assist customers on merchandise selection.
• Responsible for operating a cash register; itemize and total customer merchandise selection at checkout counter and accept cash or charge card for purchases.
• Help ensure the safeguarding of store assets, inventory, and cash.
• Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
• Assist customers in transporting large purchases to their vehicles.
• Assist with maintaining the store and warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
• Stock shelves, racks, and bins with merchandise; perform inventory checks on merchandise quantities.
• Label products with barcode labels; apply product merchandising to include facing products, set-up marketing materials and moving merchandise to enhance presentation and sales.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience:

Previous experience in retail sales and computer applications preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality service standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to project a professional image to the public.
• Must possess organizational and mathematical skills.
