Job summary

Homebase, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Cashier/Stocker to greet customers, run the checkout, and keep shelves stocked and presentable. This role blends frontline cashiering with merchandising duties to ensure a welcoming shopping floor.

You’ll train for essential tasks and develop customer service skills while supporting a friendly, local store community. Flexible scheduling is available, with opportunities to grow in retail operations.

Qualifications

Job Summary

As a Part-Time Cashier/Stocker, you will be the face of our store. You will split your time between providing excellent service at the checkout lanes and keeping our shelves fully stocked, organized, and looking great.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Cashiering:

• Greet every customer with a friendly smile and a positive attitude.
• Accurately scan groceries, weigh produce, and process payments (cash, credit, EBT, etc.).
• Bag groceries carefully to prevent damage to delicate items.
• Answer customer questions and help them locate items in the store.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized checkout station.

Stocking & Merchandising:

• Organize inventory in the backroom and safely transport items to the sales floor.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to ensure products are front-facing and fully stocked.
• Check expiration dates and rotate products using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.
• Assist in keeping aisles clean, clear of cardboard, and safe for shoppers.
