Job summary

Buc-ee's Tennessee II LLC is seeking a Seasonal Cashier to provide fast, friendly checkout services at our Sevierville store. The role supports the store during the peak season from November 1 through January 4, with emphasis on accuracy, courtesy, and efficiency at the register.

Responsibilities include handling payments, balancing cash, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean checkout area. Prior cashier experience is preferred, and flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Relevant cashier experience is preferred.
• Listen to customer needs and communicate clearly.
• Mastery of POS functions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly checkout service to customers.
• Process payments accurately using POS and accepted methods.
• Transact beer purchases following state laws.
• Balance cash drawer at shift start/end.
• Handle exchanges and refunds per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized checkout area.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; label items as needed.
• Address customer complaints as first responder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be flexible to work weekends/holidays and peak days.

Seasonal Cashier

$20.00 per hour – Cashier Seasonal

The primary responsibility of a Seasonal Cashier is to provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for customers.

Seasonal Hires will work November 1st – January 4th.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Execute a Clean, Friendly and In-Stock experience for every customer
• Accurately transacts customer items for checkout on POS units and all acceptable methods of payment
• Transact beer purchases in accordance with all state alcoholic beverage laws
• Balance cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift
• Process exchanges and refunds per company policy
• Accurately settle shift
• Pay Point reports
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout area
• Assist in stocking, rotating merchandise and marking labels
• Serve as first responder to customer complaints
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays and store’s busiest days
• Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Attain mastery knowledge of P.O.S. functions
• Able to function in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be able to stand and walk on a hard or concrete surface, bend, reach, climb, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side to side and able to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds on a regular basis
• Perform cleaning and light maintenance with prescribed chemicals
• May include periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions at all times of day and year
