Responsibilities

As a Scanner at Joe V's, you will process customer transactions of goods and services while providing superior customer service. You will perform all duties with a sense of ownership and teamwork. Responsibilities include:

1. Scanning all customer items and handling financial transactions.
2. Packaging groceries efficiently.
3. Providing excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
4. Answering product-related questions and offering additional or alternative products and services.
5. Instructing customers in the use of the cash machine for cash tender.
6. Complying with food safety and sanitation standards.
7. Participating in store-wide initiatives and duties, including returns, cleaning registers, and merchandising as needed.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

• Stand, reach, grasp, and perform fine motor movements constantly.
• Walk, reach overhead, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and twist occasionally.
• Lift up to 35 lbs and manage heavier items with assistance or by breaking down into smaller parts.
• Work in conditions that may include wet areas, loud noise, and ambient temperatures.
