Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift

Overview

Are you ready to make a positive impact during the afternoons and evenings? Our second-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) are vital in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and smoothly operating store environment for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and operate the register efficiently.
• Become proficient in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales, ensuring compliance with all age and legal requirements.
• Provide friendly service and upsell when appropriate to boost sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking out trash in all weather conditions.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise appealing.
• Keep the store organized and clean by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows and entryways.
• Willing to cross-train in other departments, such as the deli, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist team members and step into other roles as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, CO; 21+ in other states.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, mainly afternoons to evenings.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Friendly, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and adaptable.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
