Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift

Join us as a Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift at GPM Investments, LLC.

Position Overview

Our second-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient store environment. This role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, and performing cleaning and safety duties to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and operate the register efficiently
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements for lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales
• Provide excellent customer service and promote sales through upselling
• Maintain cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store, including restroom cleaning, gas pump sanitation, litter pickup, and trash disposal
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise appealing
• Keep the store organized and clean, including sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning
• Cross-train in other departments such as deli when needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Assist team members and step in where needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Age requirement: 18+ in certain states; 21+ in others
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Effective communication skills in English
• Basic math skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Friendly, detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required
