Job summary

River Landing at Sandy Ridge, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, seeks a friendly Bistro associate to welcome guests, post menus, and assist with daily service. The role is part-time with 18 to 26 hours weekly and requires standing, walking, and lifting.

You will operate the cash register, restock items, keep the dining area clean, and answer questions about menus. We offer wellness programs and employee scholarships within a faith-based, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Professional, courteous, friendly, and team-oriented.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift during shifts.
• Hospitatlity/food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and post daily specials and menus.
• Operate the POS system to ring up orders.
• Restock to-go items and groceries during shift.
• Maintain a clean and well-replenished food area during service.
• Assist customers with menu questions and inquiries.
• Sweep spills and place caution signs when floors are wet.
• Sort and manage silverware and linens for service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Welcome customers who enter Bistro. Post correct menus and signage for daily specials and soups. Operate POS system and cash register to check out customers. Assist with restocking to go products and grocery items throughout the shift. Keep food area clean and well replenished during service hours. Assist customers with questions regarding menus. Sweep floors and spills as needed during a shift. Making sure caution signs are placed when there are wet areas that pose a hazard to customers. Remove dirty dishes from tables and wiping tables and chairs down for next customer. Restocking condiment areas. Maintain bus cart area including having dirty dishes sent to kitchen, linens to proper receptacle and garbage removed. Sort silverware, wash and roll in linens for next shift.

Must be professional, courteous, friendly, and have the willingness to work as part of a team. A willingness to learn new things is a plus! The job requires a lot of standing, walking, and lifting.
