Cashiers are the first point of contact for our guests and are directly responsible for delivering a great experience. You will take and enter orders, handle payments, keep the dining room and other guest areas clean, and provide excellent service to our guests by following standard operating procedures with a sense of urgency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities which may occur inside or outside the restaurant:

1. Complete all training requirements including:
2. Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan
3. Hands-on stations training
4. Any additional training required by Zax LLC
5. Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
6. Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
7. Maintain awareness of current promotions
8. Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
9. Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby's brand
10. Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
11. Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
12. Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
13. Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
14. Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
15. Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
16. Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
17. Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages
18. Keep work areas clean and organized
19. Prepare menu items according to company standards and in a safe and sanitary manner
20. Prepare beverages, sauces, produce, and other items
21. Ensure food and beverages are handled according to safety regulations and guidelines
22. Accurately complete, package, and present guest orders
23. Assist with kitchen and back of house tasks as assigned
24. Other responsibilities
25. Complete all tasks with a sense of urgency, in a timely manner
26. Work safely and follow all safety guidelines and procedures
27. Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

The following requirements must be met in order to qualify for this position:

1. Must be 16 years of age or older
2. Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week
