Position Overview: Cashiers are the first point of contact for our guests and are directly responsible for delivering a great experience. Responsibilities include taking and entering orders, handling payments, maintaining cleanliness in dining and guest areas, and providing excellent service by following standard operating procedures with urgency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual in this position is expected to:

  • Complete all training requirements, including Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan, hands-on stations training, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
  • Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests.
  • Greet guests promptly as they enter and thank them as they leave.
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions and explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items.
  • Accurately complete orders and guest transactions, including entering orders into the point of sale system and accepting payments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, including guest areas, bathrooms, and exterior.
  • Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs.
  • Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages.
  • Prepare menu items according to standards, ensuring safety and sanitation regulations are followed.
  • Assist with kitchen and back-of-house tasks as assigned.
  • Complete all tasks with a sense of urgency and work safely following all safety guidelines.
Job Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week.
