Description
Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for the position of Cashier on our Dining Service team. Our Dining Service is not only a place to eat, it’s a vibrant hub of community life, and our team members are a big part of what makes that possible. This position plays a key role in ensuring a warm, welcoming, and efficient dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Rotating weekends required
- Flexible start time available (e.g., earlier shift start if preferred)
Pay Range: $15.00-15.50 per hour
Main Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service and greet all guests with enthusiasm and respect
- Accurately process meal swipes and payments using touchless POS systems
- Monitor dining areas and assist with guest questions or needs
- Train, support, and serve as a role model for student employees at the register
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and follow health and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with dining service staff to ensure smooth meal operations and guest satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service, retail, or other face-paced customer service role, preferred
- Medical insurance (which includes access to Nice Healthcare) as well as dental, vision, and life insurance
