Description

The Cashier is responsible for interacting with customers as they enter and leave the retail store. The primary function of the Cashier is to provide excellent customer service. Hours vary, including days, evenings (until 9 pm), and rotating weekend/holiday shifts. Interested applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends. This position also includes additional bookkeeping responsibilities.

Organizational Relationships

• The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager.
• The Cashier has no supervisory authority.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling.
• Price store merchandise as directed by management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as instructed.
• Manage customer returns.

Other duties as assigned.

Mental and Physical Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Education, Training, and Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
