Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with questions.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route or respond appropriately.
• Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and balance at shift end.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves as directed by management.
• Handle customer returns in a courteous and efficient manner.

Job description

The Cashier is responsible to interact with customers as they enter and leave the retail store. The primary function of the Cashier is to provide excellent customer service. Hours vary and there may be the need for occasional night or weekend coverage assistance.

Pay Range: $15.00-$16.00 Depending on experience.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager.
• The Cashier has no direct supervisory authority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store, assisting with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.
• Responsible for accurate cash handling.
• Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Responsible for handling customer returns.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
