Responsibilities

1. Check out customers promptly, courteously, efficiently, and accurately
2. Maintain knowledge of equipment and current advertisements posted by the head cashier or manager
3. Keep work area clean and stocked at all times
4. Count till in and out, and maintain the required balance
5. Maintain courteous and friendly customer relations
6. Report customer complaints to the manager
7. Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers
8. Monitor for shoplifting and notify management
9. Order products to fill shelves when assigned
10. Stock shelves and racks when assigned
11. Perform sweeping and cleaning functions
12. Operate telephones and intercoms, practicing proper etiquette
13. Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Cashier Training Manual and Employee Handbook
14. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Read and write proficiency
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Lift and stack up to 50 pounds
• Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds
• Reach and stock products up to 6 ft. high
