Responsibilities

1. Check out customers promptly, courteously, efficiently, and accurately.
2. Knowledge of equipment.
3. Keep work area clean and stocked at all times.
4. Knowledge of current ad and all other information posted by head cashier or manager.
5. Count till in and out, and maintain required balance.
6. Maintain courteous and friendly customer relations.
7. Report customer complaints to the manager.
8. Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
9. Maintain alertness for shoplifting and notify management.
10. Order product to fill shelves when assigned.
11. Stock shelves and racks when assigned.
12. Perform sweeping and cleaning functions.
13. Operate telephones and intercoms and practice proper telephone etiquette.
14. Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Cashier Training Manual and Employee Handbook.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Relationships

Reports to Office Manager. Supervises no one. Assists and cooperates with other cashiers where needed to benefit the front end operation.

Qualifications

1. Read and write.
2. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
3. Follow verbal and written instructions.
4. Lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
5. Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds.
6. Reach and stock product up to 6 ft. high.
