Lahey Clinic seeks a part-time Cashier to join the team in Burlington, MA. You will verify drawers, ring in sales, document discrepancies, and maintain a clean, courteous workspace while assisting customers and supporting store operations.

Shifts include every other weekend (11:00–19:30) and occasional weekday mornings/evenings. Adherence to clinic policies and in-house training are expected to ensure accurate transactions and patient service.

Every other weekend 11-7:30pm

Occasional evening/morning shifts during the week

Position Summary:

Verify opening drawer, accurately ring in all sales. Document over-ring, make correct change. Take register readings. Maintain cleanliness of work station. Maintain positive, courteous attitude toward all customers, perform various stocking and food prep responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Verify opening bank. Report discrepancies to supervisor immediately.
• Program prices into register as directed.
• Ring all sales into register (cash and charge).
• Record over-rings and charge sales.
• Make accurate change.
• Take register readings as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of service area and restocking of condiment station, drink coolers, etc.
• Maintain positive, courteous attitude towards all customers.
• Immediately inform lead, supervisor or manager of any problems, discrepancies or potential problems.
• Attends all in-services.
• Perform other related duties and food prep as assigned by lead, supervisor or manager.
• Respond in a positive manner to surprise cash audits.
• Wear proper Lahey Clinic ID Badge and hand-washing badge while on Lahey Campus
• Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles and Mission Statement into daily activities.
• Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies.
• Complies with behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic.
• Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
• Demonstrates an understanding of job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment..
• Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to our Customer Service standards.
• Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
• Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.
• Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

Pay Range:

$17.00 - $22.88

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
