Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a friendly cashier to join the Front End Team. You will process sales, greet customers, promote loyalty programs, and grow product knowledge through wine, spirits, and beer training.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends; seasonal may transition to non-seasonal. Pay ranges from $22.37 to $31.31 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and an equal opportunity employer statement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience.

About the Role

A Cashier is a key member of the Front End Team, responsible for providing fast and friendly service to customers. In addition to cashier duties, the role may include sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty programs, and bagging products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.
• Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience, 1+ year in a retail environment preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as business requires.

Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets; climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Employment Information

Seasonal role may be short‑term, no longer than six months, with the option to apply for a non‑seasonal position. Regular hourly pay ranges from $22.37 to $31.31, depending on market and experience.
