Pay Range: $14.00 - $19.50

Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for checking out customer's merchandise through the POS registers. They perform various customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly and friendly, and handling merchandise with care.

Essential Functions

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
• Approach all customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and aware of advertised sales.
• Stock and straighten shelves and pegs when not ringing up products.
• Provide a legendary customer experience by assisting with buying decisions, identifying customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to calculate discounts and make change.
• Effective communication skills in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to operate computerized POS systems.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking during shifts.
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Frequent communication and repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Occasional work in varying temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments.
• Light physical effort, including lifting objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Independent Judgment

• Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and some innovation. Makes recommendations to work procedures and policies.
