Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Cashier to craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective service at the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact for Meijer customers.

As a Cashier, you will be the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store and will handle transactions, assist with Meijer programs, and ensure a welcoming checkout experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Enjoy working with people and providing great service.
• Comfortable learning and using technology.
• Listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to help.
• Retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to assist customers.
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences.
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and payments with attention to detail.
