Job Summary

Receives and disburses money by selling food to students and staff. Responsible for operating the cash register and maintaining the serving line. Works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.

What you will do
  1. Receives payment by cash, vouchers, or automatic debits. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  2. Assists with preparation and packaging of food items; ensures food temperature and portion sizes are appropriate.
  3. Stocks and rotates food items displayed for sale on the serving line.
  4. Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas and completes other general cleaning duties, such as cleaning serving area and storing unused food items. Stocks shelves and marks prices.
  5. Answers customers' questions, and provides information on procedures or policies.
  6. Assists customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Processes returns and exchanges.
  7. Identifies prices of goods and tabulates bills using cash registers or optical price scanners.
  8. Balances sales to monies received. Completes reports.
Education Qualifications

Starting At: $19.62

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
