Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Kentucky in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Cashier who will handle register transactions, greet donors and customers, and assist with merchandising and stocking on the retail floor.

You will follow safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, and support collection and recovery of goods when not at the register; reports to Retail Manager. Training provided and opportunities for advancement may be available.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills, ability to make change.
• Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Follows all defined safety absolutes.
• Operates cash register with a high degree of accuracy.
• Correctly identifies proper textile categories according to defined guidelines.
• Displays great customer service by greeting donors and customers.
• Keeps areas clean, including inside and outside the store.
• Sorts material as required and stocks material in stores.
• Maintains textile category, sizing and quality of goods on the retail sales floor.
• Arranges shoes, media and accessory items on the retail sales floor.
• Rotates stock in accordance with defined guidelines
• Recovers product on sales floor to ensure established merchandising guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.
