Job Description

The Lead Cashier creates a memorable experience for all guests by performing tasks with a guest-focused attitude. They are responsible for training cashiers, maintaining the front of the house, processing transactions, managing inventory, and delegating tasks appropriately while providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Operate register/POS accurately and handle cash and credit transactions
  2. Greet and assist customers, delivering excellent service and anticipating needs
  3. Schedule and delegate work to team members, ensuring task completion
  4. Train staff in customer service, cash handling, product knowledge, and procedures
  5. Make change for cashiers and verify deposits
  6. Count, organize, and balance cash drawer; complete cashier slips and deposits
  7. Follow Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures
  8. Follow opening and closing procedures based on hours
  9. Ensure product stock levels are maintained and replenish as needed
  10. Assist with cleanup and sanitation during and after operating hours

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Supervisory or related experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Follow dress code policies
  • Complete Food Handling and alcohol service training as required

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
