Job Description

The Lead Cashier creates a memorable experience for all guests by performing tasks with a guest-focused attitude. The Lead Cashier is responsible for training other cashiers, maintaining the front of the house, processing transactions, managing inventory, and delegating tasks to cashiers while providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  2. Greet and assist customers, delivering excellent customer service and anticipating their needs.
  3. Schedule and delegate work assignments to the team and coordinate task completion.
  4. Train staff in customer service, cash handling, product knowledge, and procedures.
  5. Make change for cashiers and verify bag deposits.
  6. Count, organize, and balance cash drawers; fill out cashier slips and make deposits.
  7. Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
  8. Follow opening and closing procedures based on operating hours.
  9. Ensure products are stocked, replenished, and arranged to maintain inventory levels.
  10. Assist in cleanup and sanitation during and after operating hours.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Basic math and counting skills required.
  • Supervisory or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Follow dress code as per workplace policies.
  • Complete Food Handling and alcohol service training as required.

This role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
