Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable Kitchen Helper/Cashier to support school dining services at Ogorman High School or Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools. This daytime, Monday–Friday role combines kitchen prep with cashier duties, offering an active, student-centered environment.

The position emphasizes friendly service, teamwork, and reliable performance in a fast-paced school setting with a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving-size and special-diet guidelines.
• Operate the POS system and accurately process student meal transactions.
• Follow simple recipes and keep kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety, complete basic logs, assist with production records, and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Follow cash handling procedures and assist with balancing daily transactions.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and operational updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve menu items during meal service and assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Create a welcoming environment for students and staff with excellent customer service.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-1:30pm OR 8:30am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Kitchen Helper/Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role, you'll help keep meal service running smoothly by preparing and serving food, operating the point-of-sale system, and creating a welcoming experience for students. It's an active, customer-focused role that combines kitchen support with cashier responsibilities and makes a real impact on students' day.

What You'll Do

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving-size and special-diet guidelines.

• Follow simple recipes like fruit and veggie bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.

• Follow cash handling procedures and assist with balancing daily transactions and student accounts.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and operational updates to your team and supervisors.

• Jump in wherever needed to support teammates and ensure successful meal service.
