We are looking for a Part Time Key Carrier. The schedule will be 1pm-5pm (15-20 hours a week). Availability at least every other weekend is required.

Job Summary:

At Waters Hardware, cashiers operate checkout counters and assist customers with questions. They play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, creating positive first impressions, and supporting store operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating an inviting environment by maintaining cleanliness and order at the front end.
  • Welcoming customers warmly.
  • Answering questions about merchandise and store policies.
  • Answering phones and directing calls appropriately.
  • Ensuring efficient checkout and traffic flow.
  • Understanding store policies, including returns, refunds, and deliveries.
  • Promoting loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.
  • Monitoring for shoplifting and responding per store policy.
  • Operating POS equipment and processing transactions accurately.
  • Maintaining checkout area displays and cleanliness.
  • Handling cash register opening and closing procedures.
  • Supporting other store tasks as needed.
  • Attending staff meetings and adhering to policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

  • Basic knowledge of store merchandise with a desire to learn more.
