Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cashier II to provide excellent customer service at our travel center in the United States. You will handle transactions at the POS, maintain a clean food/beverage area, stock merchandise, and assist with training junior cashiers.

This role requires 2+ years of cashier experience, POS knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Assist with receiving product and unloads; stock and organize merchandise on planograms.
• Assist with training lower-level cashiers on duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations to leaders and coworkers.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and coworkers.
