Job summary

TravelCenters of America offers a convenient, one-stop shopping experience to our customers. The Cashier II is a key member of the store team primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests so that we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!

In this role, you can expect to: work in a fun environment, serve customers courteously on a POS, stock and merchandise, and assist with training and safety compliance while supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions on a POS register and maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Assist with receiving product and unloading it; stock and organize merchandise on planograms.
• Assist with training lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Maintain safety standards and report unsafe situations.
