Summary:

Cashiers provide essential register operations, excellent customer service, and sales floor functions in the retail store. They assist facility management in store operations by performing assigned tasks. Part-time positions may be available with some benefits. Must pass a background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Provide outstanding customer service.
2. Adhere to Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest directives, rules, policies, procedures, and standards.
3. Perform opening tasks such as cleaning glass cases, cleaning counters, straightening the cash wrap, and stocking supplies.
4. Perform register closing duties, including counting down the register, processing paperwork, and completing cashier reconciliation. Ensure register till and deposits are secured.
5. Pull and stock merchandise as directed.
6. Collect payments and make change from customers.
7. Provide cash receipts to customers.
8. Operate the POS register system accurately and efficiently, including handling employee purchases and charges.
9. Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
10. Assist with customer service at adjacent work stations, if applicable.
11. Remove clothes from dressing rooms and rehang them.
12. Remove merchandise from the sales floor to the back room.
13. Answer telephone and paging system as needed.
14. Perform other stocking duties as assigned.
15. Represent the company by providing excellent customer service.
16. Meet recovery and merchandising standards.
17. Complete Cashier Training successfully.
18. Perform other related duties as assigned.
