Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a friendly cashier to deliver excellent service at our New Mexico Deming location. You will process transactions on a POS system, keep the food and beverage area clean and stocked, and maintain merchandise while providing a positive, courteous experience to travelers.

Candidates should have basic POS knowledge, cash handling skills, and strong verbal communication. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean and well-stocked area; restock merchandise
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations
• Establish strong communication with leaders and co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned
