Job Description

Greet and escort guests to their tables. Accept payments from restaurant guests using a computerized cash register and maintain an accurate bank.

Job Functions

• Provide menus to guests and inform them of specials.
• Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service personnel to ensure fast and courteous service.
• Assign breaks to bus persons and food servers.
• Inspect and monitor cleanliness and safety compliance of the room.
• Resolve customer complaints or refer them to the restaurant manager.
• Maintain records of guests served, employee absences, and equipment or food service issues during the shift.
• Operate the computerized cash register to process guest checks in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain an accurate cash bank at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier/host preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Basic math skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
