Job Description

Greet and escort guests to their tables. Accept payments from restaurant guests using a computerized cash register and maintain an accurate cash bank.

Job Functions

1. Provide menus to guests and inform them of specials.
2. Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate activities of service personnel to ensure fast and courteous service.
3. Assign breaks to bus persons and food servers.
4. Inspect and monitor cleanliness and compliance with safety and health regulations.
5. Resolve customer complaints or refer them to the restaurant manager.
6. Maintain records of guests served, employee absences, and equipment or food service issues.
7. Operate the computerized cash register to process guest checks.
8. Maintain an accurate cash bank at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier/host experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
