Job description

SHARED ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Proficient in operating cash registers and Micros computers for all food outlets.
  2. Maintain expected service levels, ensure all revenue is accurately handled, and uphold internal controls during system outages.
  3. Communicate effectively in a clear, professional, and friendly manner with guests and employees.
  4. Manage and deliver comps to guests accurately.
  5. Differentiate guest service levels and prioritize service for appropriate tiers during transactions.
  6. Ensure tables are clear, properly set up, and presentable before seating guests.
  7. Present an impressionable persona when greeting guests and during their departure.
  8. Present menus to customers and inform/up-sell specials or chef's features with enticing language.
  9. Engage guests in conversation during seating and/or register transactions.
  10. Handle and resolve guest concerns and questions.
  11. Act as a role model to other employees, always representing Harrah’s positively and encouraging others to do the same.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

CASHIER

  1. Keep designated work areas clean and organized; assist in maintaining dining room cleanliness.
  2. Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  3. Ensure assigned areas are clean and debris-free.
  4. Maintain proper food levels to ensure high-quality products for guests as per company standards.
  5. Maintain a positive attitude, greet everyone with a smile, and use departmental greetings.
  6. Perform all related duties in accordance with departmental and Caesar’s policies, practices, and procedures as defined by the Executive Chef and company standards.

Host

  1. Reserve and manage guest bookings/reservations appropriately.
  2. Manage the flow of business and seat the restaurant in rotation regardless of volume.
  3. Collaborate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure food quality, dining experience, and guest satisfaction.
  4. Ensure accurate setup for large groups or parties.
  5. Keep the host stand area clean and organized; assist in maintaining dining room cleanliness, including assisting bussers and servers as needed.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. Accurately gather vital guest information for communication with management and casino hosts.
  3. Uphold standards of dining room ambiance and atmosphere.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Preference for three months of previous experience as a Host/Cashier.
  2. High School diploma or GED preferred.
