JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Restaurant Cashier is to courteously greet all guests and perform cashier transactions accurately according to company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Settle all customer checks accurately in the system
  • Complete all cash or credit transactions properly
  • Create an excellent customer service atmosphere for all guests
  • Assist other staff to ensure a pleasant guest experience
  • Provide guests with a copy of their receipt
  • Perform side work and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Follow departmental rules to ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction
  • Always thank guests for their patronage and invite them back
  • Return the bank to the Cage
  • Demonstrate our core values, family-style service, mission, and vision
  • Promote our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Understand and utilize the Infogenisis system
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to smile, make eye contact, and communicate easily with the public
  • Clear verbal and telephone communication skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Work in noisy and crowded areas
  • Mobility to bend, reach, stand, walk, and lift items from floor to six feet high
  • Normal senses of smell, touch, sound, and vision
  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and currency
  • Work area may have variable temperatures
  • May be exposed to smoking environments and moderate noise

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
