POSITION SUMMARY

The cashier position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, operating the point of sale (POS) register and other related equipment/devices, suggestive selling, displaying outstanding product knowledge, replenishing merchandise on shelves and coolers, and attending to various housekeeping matters. The position is required to tend to the needs of the LVL gamers/patrons and overall Form W-2G compliance. The position is also responsible for adherence to loss prevention policies and all other company policy/store standards.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE AND WORK LOCATION

The position requires the Cashier to be able to work various shifts to meet the staffing needs of the assigned store(s). Schedules may be adjusted to accommodate employees' work restrictions. Depending on the Store's and/or Company's staffing needs, employees may be required to work at other location(s) in the immediate area of the assigned store. The hours scheduled to work is a function of the employee's status with the Company and the needs of the store and Company. Full-time status requires working 35 hours per week; part-time is less than 35 hours.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of English language structure, content, spelling, and grammar

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Prior retail experience utilizing a point of sale system
• Experience with Microsoft Office, email, and internet browsers

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel

No overnight travel required. Some travel to other Gumby's or Geno's stores may be necessary.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a customer-friendly environment
• Complete all POS transactions accurately and securely
• Handle cash drops, verify non-counterfeit money, process credit/debit/check transactions
• Validate LVL tickets, assist patrons at the cash kiosk, stock coolers
• Complete IRS Form W-2G as per guidelines
• Perform end-of-shift reporting, balance cash drawers, and prepare deposits
• Replenish merchandise, participate in receiving, housekeeping, and maintenance duties
• Report maintenance and equipment issues promptly
• Assist with troubleshooting LVL machines and other equipment
• Monitor cash levels in ATMs and kiosks
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies
• Log in and out according to company policies
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Physical/Environmental Demands

Includes standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, stooping, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Regular use of standard office and cleaning equipment.
