Reports To: Store Manager and/or Store Lead

Position Summary

The cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, operating the POS register and related equipment, suggestive selling, maintaining product knowledge, restocking shelves and coolers, and handling various housekeeping tasks. The role involves attending to LVL gamers and patrons, ensuring compliance with Form W-2G regulations, and adhering to loss prevention policies and company standards.

Typical Schedule and Work Location

The cashier must be flexible to work various shifts as needed by the store. Schedules may be adjusted for employee restrictions, and employees might be required to work at other nearby locations based on staffing needs. Full-time employees work approximately 35 hours per week; part-time less than 35 hours.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of English language structure, spelling, meaning, and grammar
Desired Qualifications
  • Retail experience with POS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet browsing
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory duties.

Travel Requirements

No overnight travel required. Some local travel between stores may be necessary.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, greeting and acknowledging customers, maintaining standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Complete all POS transactions accurately, including returns, voids, and cash handling.
  • Perform safe drops, verify non-counterfeit money, process credit/debit cards, and checks in accordance with policies.
  • Validate LVL tickets, assist patrons at the cash kiosk, clean LVL machines, and stock coolers.
  • Complete IRS Form W-2G as per guidelines.
  • Perform end-of-shift reporting, balance cash drawers, and prepare deposits.
  • Replenish merchandise, participate in receiving stock, housekeeping, and general maintenance.
  • Report maintenance, incident, POS, ATM, LVL machine, and kiosk issues promptly.
  • Assist technicians with troubleshooting equipment errors.
  • Monitor and communicate cash levels in ATMs and kiosks.
  • Maintain professional appearance and wear company uniform.
  • Log in and out according to company policy.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The role involves standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and driving. Physical activity includes lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and indoor environmental factors is possible.
