Position Overview

The cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating POS systems, suggestive selling, product knowledge, replenishing merchandise, and maintaining store standards. The role involves attending to LVL gamers/patrons and ensuring compliance with Form W-2G regulations, loss prevention, and company policies.

Work Schedule & Location

The position requires flexible shifts to meet store staffing needs, with potential adjustments for employee restrictions. Employees may work at other nearby locations. Full-time entails 35+ hours/week; part-time is less than 35 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• English language proficiency, including spelling and grammar

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience with POS systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and internet

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role has no supervisory duties.

Travel Requirements

No overnight travel required; some local travel between Geno's stores may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a welcoming environment
• Handle POS transactions accurately, including returns and voids
• Verify cash and card payments, ensure security
• Validate LVL tickets, assist patrons, clean machines, and stock coolers
• Complete W-2G forms and end-of-shift reports
• Replenish merchandise, participate in receiving, housekeeping, and maintenance
• Report maintenance, equipment issues, and communicate with management promptly
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting
• Monitor cash levels in ATMs and kiosks
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies
• Record work hours accurately
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Physical & Environmental Demands

Includes standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, talking, and light lifting (up to 30 lbs). Exposure to indoor air contaminants and moderate noise levels is expected.

Tools & Equipment

Use of office and store equipment, including computers, POS systems, cleaning tools, and safety equipment.
