Job Title: Cashier - Full Time - Elwood

Responsibilities

1. Check out customers promptly, courteously, efficiently, and accurately.
2. Maintain knowledge of equipment and current advertisements posted by the head cashier or manager.
3. Keep work area clean and stocked at all times.
4. Count tills in and out, maintaining the required balance.
5. Provide courteous and friendly customer relations.
6. Report customer complaints to the manager.
7. Assist customers verbally and physically as needed.
8. Maintain alertness for shoplifting and notify management.
9. Order products to fill shelves when assigned.
10. Stock shelves and racks as assigned.
11. Perform sweeping and cleaning functions.
12. Operate telephones and intercoms, practicing proper etiquette.
13. Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Cashier Training Manual and Employee Handbook.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
• Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Reach and stock products up to 6 feet high.
