Location: Elmhurst College

We are hiring immediately for a full-time and part-time CASHIER position.

Job Summary

This role involves cashier duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. May also include general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform sales transactions promptly.
2. Enter all sales into the cash register accurately.
3. Make change, accept declining balance cards, and other payment methods; issue receipts.
4. Follow procedures for cash refunds.
5. Interact with customers and resolve complaints courteously.
6. Manage change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with standards.
7. Observe customer purchases and differentiate portions.
8. Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and supplies; maintain cleanliness.
9. Keep pastry case stocked.
10. Ensure compliance with service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
11. Follow sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
