Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Help prepare catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system accurately.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cash transactions according to procedures, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving lines, monitor food temperatures, record them, and notify cooks if temperatures are not within acceptable ranges.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerators stocked and products rotated using FIFO.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
