We are hiring immediately for an on-call CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: The Lighthouse SSF - 685 Gateway Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA 94080. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: On-call schedule, Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous cash handling and food service experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; assist with catering orders.
2. Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
3. Perform general cleaning; remove trash and garbage.
4. Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
5. Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
6. Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
7. Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if not within acceptable ranges.
8. Serve hot and cold items to customers.
9. Prepare items for purchase daily.
10. Maintain refrigerator stock and rotate products using FIFO.
11. Stock pantries, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures daily.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
