Job Title: Canteen Cashier/Food Service Worker

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at Canteen, located at Continental Tire, 1805 US 521, Sumter, SC 29153. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, Monday through Friday, with varying hours. Nights and weekends required. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Prior food service experience is required.

Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Operate Point of Sale system, assist the Chef, prepare coffee, and maintain cleanliness at coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering with accuracy and record keeping; make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if issues arise.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Maintain refrigerator stock and rotate products using FIFO.
• Stock pantries to par levels, record replenishments and temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
