Job Title: CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at Higley Unified School District, located at 2935 South Recker Road, Gilbert, AZ 85295. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, school calendar. More details will be provided upon interview.

Requirements: Previous food service, cashier, and customer service experience preferred. Willing to train! No nights or weekends! Benefits available.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates POS system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashier according to procedures, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerator stocked and rotate products using FIFO.
• Stock pantries, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
