We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER / FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Texas Children's Hospital North Austin - 9835 North Lake Creek Parkway, Austin, TX 78717. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time schedule; open availability preferred. Hours and days may vary; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Two years of food service experience required.

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; help with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering with accuracy and maintain proper receipts; make deposits after shifts.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if temperatures are not within acceptable ranges.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock refrigerators and rotate products using FIFO; record temperatures daily.
• Maintain pantry par levels; record replenishments and refrigerator temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
