Compass Group USA is hiring for a Cashier/Food Service Worker at Fairhaven Public, 128 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. This role supports the cafeteria operation with cashiering, coffee preparation, and food service duties in a school environment.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules with varying hours. A ServSafe certification is required, and the fixed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Benefits are provided to eligible associates in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications

• Cashier duties and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
• Fundamental food service tasks and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operates Point of Sale system and handles cashier duties.
• Assists the Chef and prepares coffee.
• Prepares foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts.
• Keeps coffee and cashier stations clean.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line and ensures proper temperatures.
• Stocks pantry items and maintains FIFO.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
