Job description

Sarasota Jungle Gardens is looking for a Cashier with Cafe experience to join our team. The Cashier will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and other related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.

The ideal candidate is dependable, has transportation, and is able to work weekends and holidays. They should be reliable, organized, possess excellent customer service skills, and demonstrate top-notch accuracy and customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, assist with locating products, and resolve complaints as needed.
2. Food service: Food preparation, beverage sales, food handling, dish room, dry stock, perishable food inventories, and cleaning.
3. Cash handling: Accept payments via cash, checks, and cards; ensure accurate transactions; process returns and exchanges per store policy.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe Certification is a plus
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate cash registers, calculators, scanners
• Mathematical skills for making change and refunds
• Knowledge of company products, services, and policies
