Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, and following company policies on cash handling, restricted items, and coupons.

Qualifications

• Minimum Position Qualifications: Knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and other tender types as per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Respect restrictions on sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay updated with current and upcoming ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions or issues to management.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions for customers.
