Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our restaurant team at TA Travel Centers. You will provide excellent customer service, process POS transactions, and maintain a clean, well-stocked area.

Strong cash handling and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays. We offer a range of benefits and opportunities for growth within TA.

Qualifications

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.
• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register and keep a clean, stocked area.
• Understand menu codes and cooking specs for to-go orders.
• Practice safe food handling and follow safety guidelines.
• Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
• Communicate effectively with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
